Love for reading

One should Love reading books

These days youths don't like to read books.

Reading academic books are to prepare for the exams, to get marks and to get promoted to the next class. That's all.

But when my daughter has asked me for online shopping of the story books I was surprised. This was the time when she was in class X and she was supposed to appear for the board exams.

It was time to take a decision whether to support her fulfilling her wish or not to co-operate after all she was financially dependant on us.

When she has requested again and again,  I agreed to buy some books for her. She read it, again after  few weeks she has made a list and asked for purchasing online.

I was happy to see that she is fond of reading while these days children are not interested in reading at all.

By this time I realised that she is passionate about reading and improving her English too. Reading books were helping her somewhere.

Her vocabulary has also improved. She has started dreaming more and more books and I also supported her to get it.

Today she has a good collection of story books and I am proud of her that she has started writing Quotes and Poems. She was so happy to receive a book signed by Adam Gary for writing a small poem.

Don't study just for a degree. Explore yourself.

I think education is  not just to get a degree but it's helping you in shaping your future. No doubt my daughter may be one of  tomorrow's famous writters.

Please don't stop your children to achieve their dreams , they should have their choice and freedom to work on the things they wish.

As I have observed and experienced, reading helps your child to -

  • improve concentration power

  • develop vocabulary

  •  enhance knowledge

  •  confidence in English conversation

  • improving sentence formation.

Thanks for reading.
